since they grey pending comments are back - how can i tell if im followed or not - ergo - how can we tell if we will be banished to pending

You can see who's following you under your page or whatever...but as this is done on Kinja I wouldn't be surprised if everyone is greyed out haha

Is it bad I only read 2 things on the front page: NPOCP and QOTD/AOTD

And the occasional late night Torchinsky posts... so really im more than happy with this.

I learned early on that the FP is an awful place to comment. I really did miss the old grayed out days... so this is good!

It wasn't this bad years back. Before Kinja, I do fondly remember having nice FP discussions without all the Burner tryhards coming in and dicking up the place

I assume that if you were followed by (de-greyed) Jalopnik or Oppo previously, you'll be fine.

I've never been sure how it works. One time I was grey and then later I was not.

It depends on if the parent commentor (or author) follows you. If they follow you in Kinja, then you are not in the greys.

It also is overridden if the blog itself follows you (i.e. you are now followed by Oppositelock)

That little circle with the three lines in the upper left hand corner of your screen (menu thing next to notifications) > Account settings > Followers option on the popup.
